Privacy Policy.
We are a small nonprofit, not an ad network. We collect the least information we can, we never sell it, and we use it only to run our grooming programs and thank the people who fund them.
Who we are
Hollywood Rescue Grooming Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN 47-3851594) based in Los Angeles, California. This policy covers hollywoodrescuegrooming.org and the information we receive through it.
What we collect
- Information you give us. Your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, and any message you send when you donate, volunteer, request a groom, or contact us.
- Donation information. Donations are processed by our third-party payment processor. We never see or store your full card number. We receive the donation amount, date, and the contact details you provided so we can issue a receipt.
- Basic technical data. Our hosting provider records standard server information such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested, which is used for security and aggregate traffic counts.
What we do with it
We use your information to process and acknowledge donations, issue tax receipts, coordinate volunteer and grooming appointments, answer your questions, and — if you opt in — send occasional updates about the Foundation's work. That is all.
What we don't do
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not share donor lists with other organizations. We share information only with the service providers who help us operate (payment processing, email delivery, website hosting), and only to the extent they need it to do that work — or where we are required to by law.
Cookies and analytics
The site uses a minimal set of cookies needed for the site to function, and may use privacy-respecting analytics to count visits in aggregate. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.
Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing stops the newsletter but does not stop transactional messages such as donation receipts.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time to tell you what information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know and the right to deletion. To make a request, email info@hollywoodrescuegrooming.org and we will respond within 30 days.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS and donations are handled by a PCI-compliant processor. No system is perfect, but we keep what we hold to a minimum precisely so there is less to lose.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date below. Material changes will be noted on this page.
