Why this program exists

Professional pet grooming costs $60 – $150 a session in LA. For many families, that's a real choice between the dog's groom and another household necessity. The dog stays matted. The owner feels bad. The vet bills go up later. Nobody wins.

This program closes that gap. If you're a family in LA County dealing with a tight budget and your dog needs grooming, we want to help — no judgment, no paperwork chase, no shame.

Who qualifies

The honest answer: if you need this program, you qualify. We don't ask for income statements. We ask one question — "Does this groom feel like it would be a stretch for your household right now?" — and if the answer is yes, we work with you.

Our typical recipients include:

• Families using local food banks, WIC, or SNAP
• Single-parent households
• Households on fixed incomes (Social Security, SSI, SSDI)
• Recently laid-off LA residents
• Families recovering from a major medical event
• Anyone for whom a $100 expense isn't easy this month

What's included

• Full professional groom — bath, brush, nails, ears, sanitary trim
• Free for most qualifying families; small co-pay only if it helps you feel comfortable saying yes
• Mobile or in-store at our partner Hollywood Grooming locations
• Treats and a bandana for the dog
