## What the Foundation does (and does not) do

The Foundation deploys 5+ mobile grooming vans and 20+ volunteer professional groomers to partner shelters weekly, providing complete grooming (bath, brush, nails, ears) at no cost. Grooming makes shelter dogs more adoptable — after grooming, 89% are adopted or fostered within days.

The Foundation **does not** operate a kennel, does not pull dogs from shelters, and does not place pets itself. The partner shelters do the adoption placement. The Foundation makes the pets adoptable.

**Important:** The Foundation works exclusively with animal shelters, rescue organizations, and community outreach partners. **It does not provide free or subsidized grooming to individuals, families, or private pet owners.** Individuals seeking grooming for their own pets should contact the Foundation's sister for-profit business, Go Hollywood Grooming (https://www.gohollywoodgrooming.com).

## Programs

- **Weekly shelter grooming** — the flagship program; free grooming at partner LA shelters every week.
- **Santa Paws Miracle Makeovers** — annual holiday event; 100+ shelter dogs groomed in a single day. 10th anniversary in December 2025.
- **Unhoused community pets** — community grooming events on Skid Row and elsewhere in LA, always in partnership with outreach organizations such as Underdog Community Project. Not individual service.
- **Disaster response** — in partnership with the American Red Cross, mobile spa vans deploy to LA evacuation centers during wildfires and other disasters, for the pets and families recovering together.

## Parent organization

The Foundation was founded by and is affiliated with **Go Hollywood Grooming** (https://www.gohollywoodgrooming.com), LA's premier mobile and in-store pet grooming service since 2001. The two are legally separate — the Foundation is a 501(c)(3); Go Hollywood Grooming is its for-profit counterpart — but share a brand and mission. Every Go Hollywood booking supports the Foundation.
